LEAN WAGYU is a special type of Kagoshima-produced Kuroge Wagyu beef.
The cattle are fattened on livestock farms deep in the high mountains of Kagoshima Prefecture, living stress-free in a natural environment. They are raised on a specially developed, handmade feed that results in Wagyu beef with a unique texture.
The fattening period for fattened cattle is longer than that of regular cattle, which gives the meat a richer flavor and a stronger aroma. The meat has a mellow and sweet taste, while the lean meat has a light yet rich flavor, resulting in a healthy and balanced taste.
